We will be holding an Association Daisy Tea on May 14 for prospective Daisy Girl Scouts.

How can you help?
We will need help prior to the event with publicity – we need to reach all the Preschools in the Association. We also will need help planning the actual program and help the day of the event.

Who can help?
Anyone in the Association- we would love to have Teen Troops help- come earn council hours!

Are you ready to learn GREAT things about this year’s Cookie Season? Invite your girls to experience the excitement of the 2015-2016 Girl Scout Cookie season as they set goals, learn safety tips, and practice role playing for door-to-door and booth sales.

The Cookie Rally is a high-energy good time with games, songs, crafts, and fun for all age levels. Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors will complete steps toward earning their Cookie badges – Talk It Up, Give Back, Customer Insights!

Teen Awards Updates

Gold Award

Current Girl Scouts who have earned their Gold Award and want to be involved in our Gold Award Centennial celebrations are invited to fill out our Gold Award events survey. We have many upcoming opportunities for girls who are a part of the Gold Award Family to highlight and celebrate their achievements, and inspire other girls to earn their Gold Award. For more information on upcoming Gold Award events, girls can also follow the Teen and Earned Awards Rally on Rallyhood.

Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital will be transitioning to GoGold Online for girls to submit their Gold Award Project Proposals. Girls can now submit their proposal using either our paper proposal form or theGoGold online applications. Our Council will exclusively use the GoGold Online system beginning January 1, 2016.

Gold Award Boot Camps

Gold Award Boot Camps will continue into the fall to prepare girls for the upcoming Gold Award Centennial year. To date, more than 160 Girl Scouts have taken this opportunity to get smart about the process. Visit our events calendar to register.

Silver Award

As of March 17, 2015, girls who are looking to earn the Silver Award must utilize the Silver Award Online Approval Tool on our website.Girls must complete the Online Approval Tool prior to moving forward with their projects. This approval page must be attached to their Silver Award final reports, which are submitted to the shop by leaders when they purchase Silver Award pins.


As of October 1, 2015, our forms for the Silver Trefoil, Gold Award Project Proposal and Gold Award Final Report have been updated. Please have girls use these new forms when submitting information for these awards. If you have any questions, please contact the Program department at

TEEN Try SCUBA March 21


This event is open to Girl Scouts 12 and older at the time of the event. Five (90 minute) sessions will be available (6-8 girls in each) start times of 1:30pm at Burke Racquet & Swim Club. The cost will be $30/girl and a portion of proceeds will go to SHARE.

This session includes a discussion of equipment and pool work.

[This will not certify you in Open Water Diving; however, it will provide you with information about the gear and time to practice with the gear in the safety of a pool with a certified dive instructor. Information for a JUNE running for Open Water SCUBA Certification will be emailed separately.]

FREE CPR Training on Monday in Oakton

first aidThe Women of AT&T – NoVA Chapter is offering Girl Scout volunteers a free 2-hour (up to 50 students) class in Adult CPR/AED.  The class takes place 6-9 p.m. Dec. 8 at 3033 Chain Bridge Road in Oakton.
